Vu Meter Clock

I made a fun clock that tells time using current meters.

I built this VU-meter-style clock after being inspired by similar designs I saw online. The main components include an Arduino Micro, a real-time clock unit, and three current meters. The RTC unit communicates the time to the Arduino via I2C and the Arduino then translates that to appropriate analog voltage values such that each meter displays hours, minutes, and seconds. I made the dials by scanning the original ones and editing them in Photoshop to display time instead of current.
